The Newbold Challenge

The 2nd Creative Event of the 2009 Newbold Challenge is now open for entries. It's a fun event for those of you who create artwork, paint miniatures or sculpt miniatures and it's in support of a very worthy cause called Children in Need. So if you would like the chance to win our first prize of £50 for yourself as well as a £50 donation to Children in Need on your behalf please check out the few rules we have at :-

Hello everyone. My name is Ian Newbold and I run a very small family website called Newbold World. I'm a storyteller rather than an artist and that ancient storyteller up above was created for us by Cindy Dukino.

Our aim is to share our passion for artwork, games, humour, painted miniatures, sculpted miniatures and stories with anyone who has similar tastes.

We do this simply by displaying examples of all these things on our website. We specifically commission some of these examples for our own Fusion Setting (called Skoog) but the majority are simply items that we admire that were created by other people for their own purposes.

DeviantArt is a super place for seeing terrific artwork of all kinds and meeting the artists who created it. We've been delighted that quite a few deviant artists have allowed us to feature their artwork on Newbold World from time to time and we hope to do more of this as time goes by.

We are a small family venture not a commercial organisation. And in our spare time we try to raise a little money for registered UK charities such as Children in Need with our occasional creative events and our tiny online olde worlde charity shoppe.

Most of the website is devoted to artwork and storytelling of one kind or another and we hope that a few of you will pop over there and check it out for yourselves. You'll find it at :-
